Bird Control Ireland Ltd was set up in March 2000 with the assistance of two employment grants from Waterford County Enterprise Board. The Company is owned by Directors Jeremy and Orla Nicholson and is based at Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. BCI Ltd. is structured to deal with all aspects of bird & wildlife management (excluding rodents and insects!)

At the outset the company was a one-person operation but has grown considerably and now employs seven full-time and three part-time with further growth in the pipeline.

BCI provides service to clients primarily in the business-to-business sector including local authorities, industry, aviation and agriculture.

The company adopts a multifaceted approach to solving client’s problems. It does not rely on one method and thus is able to deal with a broad spectrum of problems and provide the optimum solution for each client. Each program is tailor made to suit each client’s unique needs, budget and timescale.

The Company has a strong customer focus providing long-term solutions for customers. It places value on health, safety and welfare of staff and maintains employee satisfaction through focussing on staff training and development, empowerment and recognition.

The company was further financially assisted by the Enterprise Board in 2002 and again in 2004 in the form of a specialist strategic marketing programme which has been intergral to the company's success.
